Hi everyone, Im really struggling with things at the moment, so have come to the only place where there are other people who really understand. As i said in my last post, Mitchell has been stuttering for the last 3 months after a knock on the head, which our neurologist assured me was nothing but a coincidence. Mitchell's stuttering has got so bad now that he cant even say his sisters name (Shaye) and has resorted to pointing to things to try and tell me what he wants to say. Also mid-way through a sentence, he will completely forget what he wanted to say. I am not the only one who is worried, his teachers at school have expressed their serious concerns, as have just about every member of my family. It is so distressing for me, but also for Mitchell, he has become so emotional, i can't begin to imagine how frustrated and confused he must be. I rang our neuro today, who doesnt seem to worried about the stuttering, but says the memory loss is potentially serious, and will need to be looked into. The earliest appointment he could give us was 2 weeks from today, so i guess its time to play the dreaded waiting game again. Im not so sure anyone can offer advice, i just needed to let it all out, I am so scared and try so hard not to let my kids see that, but that's not always easy. I hope everyone is well Take care and best wishes always Kalise
