Mitchell's neuro appointment
May 23rd, 2005 at 7:42pm

Hi everyone....We had our appointment with Mitchell's Neurologist yesterday.  I went in more than prepared yesterday, with a letter from Mitchell's school teachers, explaining what they have observed in the last few months.  Our Doctor was grateful for the letter, and really listened to everything i had to say.  He thinks that it is more than likely from what my family and the school have observed, that Mitchell has had one or possibly two silent strokes.  He has ordered an e.e.g and mri scan. The e.e.g scan will be in a cpl of weeks, but over here it takes months to get an mri, unless taken thru the emergency department...which ofcourse, if i see the slightest change in Mitchell, that's exactly what i'll do, to fast track it.
Anyway, just thought i'd let you all know how we got on.
Take care and god bless
Kalise

Kalise -

Glad you had a better experience with Mitchell's neuro this time!  Way to go!  We'll be thinking of and praying for Mitchell!

Hi Kalise!

Good to hear from you! When you get a doctor to listen and take interest in your childs problems you´ve traveled a bit. Hope you feel that you´re in good hands now. If the waiting for mri gets too long- don´t hesitate to be that "red-file-parent" again for your child, we are all on your side!!

Take care and let us know how it goes! Kiss

Annica
