Shirley,

I am sorry to hear about Jeanette.  But good thing is you found this community.  I believe many people here will listen to your questions and concerns, and give you advise and suggestions.

My son, Kota (10 yrs old), is MM and he had two surgeries last November, which were indirect and direct.  He is fine now but he gets tired easily.  Seems like it is a kind of "normal" feature as a MM patient.  Did Jeanette have her first surgery last September?  I hope she will be in better condition after having the second surgery.

Take care

Hi Shirley....
....I think any disorder or health problem a person has they don't have as much energy as a person that's without a disorder or disease.  It seems the body tends to be constantly monitoring the "disease"..as it were a foreign territory...keeping it at bay is a 24 hour job so it doesn't affect the rest of the body.  (that's just my guess).   Then again MM is also delicated with fluids, and a slight off on the fluid scale (little dehydration)...sometimes takes appetite away therefore makes you little "out of energy"...I noticed when Cara is drinking lots, relaxing, watching a tv for 30 min or so ...she seems refreshed....than when she's hot, eyes seem to droop and shes tired...I immediately tell her to lets get a cold drink....and she's back to herself.   Definitely has come a LONG way.   CarasMOM

Hello!!!

My name is Brad and I am a 19 year old male with moya moya. I have only had one surgery done and it was an indirect bypass done in dec of 2004. I 2 find myself getting tired constintly and very easily. It seems to be common as i read some of the post here. With your blood having to try and get to places it wasnt before does sometimes make your heart pump a little more and there for when doing things would make you tired. I hope i made some sence or helped you at all.
