New Surgery Date. Great! More time to think.

Roll Eyes Smiley  I've seen it happen to many of you so why should I be exempt.  My Edas Surgery, originally scheduled for Aug. 15th has been moved back to Sept 12th but for a thoughtful reason.
Dr. Connolly, called my brother who is a pediatric thorasic Surgeon and suggested that it might be a good Idea if he was at the hospital when I had my surgery so he could be there for moral support when I woke up.  So now we had to work around my brothers equally busy schedule.  So Sept 12th it is Cheesy  So I get an extra 4 weeks to think about things.  Dont worry I can handle it.

I would give anything to go to vegas and meet some of you Cry but finances wont allow it.

Love ya all & stay well   Tom G.

Hi Tom.

Glad to hear you have a "Firm" surgery date.  I know the anticipation and anxiety level of waiting for and having a major surgery.  When the day is finally in sight and then changed can be much like a roller coaster ride.  You build yourself up and then let yourself down. Knowing your brother will be by your side and the fact he is a doctor has to be very comforting to you.

I know you will be in good hands and do well.  We will be anxiously awaiting an update to see how you are fairing through the wait.

Your moyamoya family is here to support you before and after surgery.

Stay positive and know you will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Hey Tom!

Of course!  The waiting is the hardest part - hang in there! Wink

Hang in there Tom!  I remember thinking, let's just get this over with!!!  The waiting is definitely the worst.  I'll be thinking of you just as much now as during your surgery.  Try to stay busy and keep your mind off things.  Easier said than done, I know!!

Hugs,
Chelsie
