Should Breanna go off aspirin before she has an angiogram?  Her neurosurgeon never said anything about it.  But the Dr. doing the pharangeal flap surgery did say she needed to be off it for 2-4 weeks prior to surgery!  So Im concerned!!  I have been calling Dr.s all day to get an answer, but they are not returning my calls quick enough for me!  If so we may have to reschedule all the upcoming events.....Dang it, I just want to get it over with....It's a roller coaster ride!  Someone have any input for me please???

Every time I've had a test I've been told to go off my aspirin for 10 days prior.  However, I've also heard people who aren't required to stop their aspirin.  Bottom line?  I would definitely get an answer from the doctor.

I was also told to go off aspirin for my angiogram or any kind of surgery.  But like, Shari....I would definitely check with your doctors.

Hi there,

I was also told each time NO ASPRIN, NO PLAVIX at least 5 days prior to my angio, and I've been getting   angio's for the past eight years...before my by-pass in June. Any way, to be on the safe side, better confirm with your doctor.
