We are on our way to New York
Oct 2nd, 2005 at 11:22am

Hi, All.  This is Debbie, Tom G's wife.  We are getting ready to go to my grandmother's house in North Jersey.  She lives right across the Hudson River to New York, where we have to be tomorrow at 6am at New York Presbyterian Hospital.  The surgery is scheduled to begin at 8am.  Tom is ready to go and in good spirits.  We appreciate all you well wished and prayers.  I will keep you posted on his progress.  Talk to you soon.

Hi Debbie,

Thank you for writing.  I hope you two have a safe trip to your grandmother's house in NJ.  Well...it's finally that time, but like Tom once said

Quote:

but I'll believe it when I'm wheeled in and feel drousy. "

I'm sure Tom is more than ready for his surgery, and I'm sure he'll do just fine.  Please send him our best, and much[smiley=hug.gif] and support to you too!  Wink  If you're able, please do keep us posted on his progress.  Our prayers are with the both of you as well as his medical team.

Take care,
Shan

Hi Debbie,

Our prayers will definitely be with you and Tom . . . you'll actually have the harder of days, as he'll be "out" for the surgery. The waiting is difficult, but you'll be fine once the doctor comes out with a good report!

We'll definitely be with you in spirit, and will anxiously await an update, when you're able to provide us with one!

Jill

Hi Debbie:

This is Trina, we spoke on the phone a couple of weeks ago.  Please do keep us updated on Tom's progress.  I will try to stop by the hospital (if you would like the presence) and see how you are all doing.

Best wishes,
Trina

Hi Debbie,

I hope all went well today. Unfortunately, Tom and I have not had the chance to talk on the phone...but I do live in Bergen County....let me know if there is anything that I can do while Tom is in the hospital...including company in the evening

Regards,
Greg

I was misdiagnosed with MM in March of 2005. In January 2006, I was told it is not MM, but rather a massive restriction in the MC1 segment of my left carotid artery.
