Sorry to hear about your brother. I was suffering with depression/ hallucinations and psychotic episodes  earlier this year. the doctors put me on all sorts of medication.

Come to find out the medicine was killing me. Once they did a MRA of my head they found out it was my moyamoya that was affecting my behavior. I even wreaked my car in the process of everything.  I was diagnosised in May 2005. I am doing okay now.  i no longer take medicine.

You may need to e-mail Dr. Steinberg in California and see what he says to do. He is the expert in moyamoya. I hope this helps.

Thank you so much for your kind care and concern. Gregory is on Serenace and Tegretol for his mental and behavioral problems. But he needs to work with a psychiatrist to talk to him to express his feelings and stop these fits before he starts. It is worrisome because he acts up mainly at night and starts banging differnet things and throwing them down -the fan, radio and doesn't fall alseep till after 2 at times.

What helped you get through it?? Medicine , psychaitrists?  I tried emailing Dr Steinberg once but I guess he didn't have the chance to reply. I'll try it again.
