ha i remember after my first op, the night nurses thought that some of my skull had been left out and were prepaing a helment for me!!
luckily they found out that it had been put back in! was amusing...

sorry kieu.. that doesn't help... but apparantly it's not uncommon.

Roll Eyes Roll EyesHi Moody, who ever has had this surgery like it or not, has burr holes or pieces of skull not replaced.  They just feel like a small dent about the size of a quarter or smaller.
Think about it, we're bringing a surface scalp artery inside our skull so there has to be 2 openings for the artery to enter and exit.  Without the holes, the artery would be crushed and useless.  I admit  that it's a little unnerving but you get used to it. Shocked
Just beware of mad people with sharp pencils Smiley

take care,  Tom G.

Hi Moody
My daughter had EDAS done on both sides in 2000, they left out a piece of skull on both sides plus did burr holes. She copes fine and just has to be careful not to be hit with a sharp object.
I'm glad to hear your surgery went fine and you are back home on the road to recovery.
