Yet another new issue

Wow...am I lucky, I just had a bout of numbness on my left side on Wednesday night. Yea-ha, my first left side side-effect/symptom. I ended up in the ER of my local hospital, CTscan did not indicate any bleeding (so, the doctor said not a storke). They kept me in the ER overnight for evaluation and discharged me in the morning. (Have you ever tried to sleep in the ER of an inter city hospital....I can tell you that they are way more noise then portrayed on TV.

So, I am off to the Neuros on Monday for more follow ups. The good news is that they think it my be stress related, as I have been going nuts lately and worrying about my left side restriction. They are actually talking about some mood alterers.....only if it is something good I told them. In the meantime, I'm sure I'll be stuck back into the wonderful chlostophic tube that we all love to call an MRI machine.

Hopefully this is a non-issue, but it does have me concerned.

Have a great weekend.

I was misdiagnosed with MM in March of 2005. In January 2006, I was told it is not MM, but rather a massive restriction in the MC1 segment of my left carotid artery.

Hi Greg,
Sorry to hear that you are having more problems.

I conquered my fear of the MRI machine by actually opening my eyes while I was in there and it is not as bad after all!! Not exactly a walk in the park but not as intimidating. Happy belated birthday and keep us posted on how your appointment goes on Monday.

Aloha Greg! (and Moira!  ;Grin)

Sorry to hear about your recent episode! It actually brought back memories of when I had instances of numbness in my left fingers, then hand.  It eventually went to my left lip, then cheek area!  Embarrassed

Anyway, I'm grateful that they are looking into it.  MRI?  I'd rather have that than a CTA which includes an IV and that metal tasting injection!   Cheesy

Please keep us update!  Gosh..it's so good to be back!  I sure missed y'all!

Take care,
Shan
