anyone have the operation done where the artery is taken from the arm and bypassed from neck to head?  I know there are other ways...maybe only by more experienced doctors...

I just wanted to say if you review the old messages in the message board a lady posted that she had that don I believe with her leg arteries. Hope you can find it. Smiley

Ladybugz,
I know this isn't what you asked, but the artery from my right forearm was used when I had a 3-way heart bypass.  Unfortunately, it didn't  "take" & I ended up having another heart bypass operation 6 months later.  I didn't tell you this to scare you, only to let you know that occasionally other arteries are used.

Are you worried about the arteries in your brain? Have you been seen by a mm specialist? Good luck in your search!   deb
