Hi, everyone!!
I just wanted to post some info in case anyone is finding it difficult to fit the gathering in Orlando in August into their budget.................

Look around in your local area for human service/health care agencies that cater to children with chronic medical issues. You can do a web search, check your local phone book, or even call the social work department at your local hospital.
There are agencies out there that can offer you $$ - we found one (that serves only NH residents, so if you're from NH and reading this, send me a PM and I'll give you their phone #!) - that offers $ for summer - summer camp, summer academic programming, even vacation expenses! They also have a program called "parent training grants" - so if you're going to a conference or training for something related to your child's medical condition, it can help defray the cost.
Since we're taking our kids to the gathering, and it's related to their medical condition - we qualified for $ from both programs!!
Also, FYI, many of these agencies also offer emergency funding for things like medical expenses, utility bills, transportation costs, etc.
So check it out, and ask questions - you might be suprised at how much assistance there is out there!!
I hope this helps!!

See you in Orlando!
