Out of the hospital had a migraine
Sep 23rd, 2006 at 5:55pm

Hi I just got home from the hospital due to what I was told was a severe migraine. My symptoms were pain around and behind my eye and in my sinuses. The pain was so bad the narcotics i take for headachs didnt touch it. I was doing some reasearch on webmd.com and from what I found it looks like I had a Ophthalmoplegic migraine. Being that I have moyamoya on the left side of my brain obviously a migrane is going to effect that side alot more. As anyone ever sufferd a migrain so bad they found them selfs in the hospital ?

Brad, I do not have MM but do suffer migraines from my neck condition, I have had them my whole life............Although they have never put me in the hospital, I can understand why if you havnt had them before you would end up there.

Yea I have never sufferd a migraine like the one I had but the pain was so bad on the left behind and around my eye ( plus the left is where I had my surgery for MM ) I had to go into the hospital to manage the pain. The doctors told me to expect this as it will more then likely happen again.

Hi,
I get migraines like that. I gt them a little more frequent though. I have also been in and out of the hospital as well. I may have stayed overnight and went home the next day and would have a lesser migraine. Nothing really they can do. I see my surgeon for the last follow-up. I had my first surgery in May of this yr. Any questions that I should ask?

Well I seen my neurologist yesturday after being out of the hospital since saturday afternoon and he seem to thing it was the diesease itself causing the pain and not the migraine itself and I too was told to expect to have this sort of thing happen again its just a matter of when.
