1 Year Post Cerebral Angiogram
Jan 19th, 2007 at 8:08pm

Wow, has the last year flown by. This afternoon I received a phone call from Columbia Presbyterian in NYC...I was taken back at first, but then realized that the reason they were calling was a 1 year follow up to my angiogram/hospital stay last January. Tomorrow will be exactly 1 year. This day last year, I still had the MM diagrnosis. 1 year ago tomorrow, I learned it was not MM, but rather a stenosis of the left MCA.

So, here I am 1 year and two short hospital stays later and I am still here. In late August they ran another MRA, and everything looked consistant with those from 2005 and Jan 06. The docs are all happy that things are not turning worse, and my TCD showed that the things are flowing better in the left MCA...plavix is helping.

If all continues to go well, my next round of doctors appointments are not until August, at which time they will run another TCD and determine if any other tests need to be done.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone on here. I would not have made it through the last 18 plus months with out your knowledge and support.

Thanks everyone....here is to another year of health and happiness.
Greg

I was misdiagnosed with MM in March of 2005. In January 2006, I was told it is not MM, but rather a massive restriction in the MC1 segment of my left carotid artery.

Wow, has it been a year already? Thank God all is stable and that you’re following up on your testing to hopefully keep things that way. You have friends here with you in their thoughts and prayers always.

I’ll drink to that Greg…  Smiley another year of health and happiness! Smiley

Wow Greg,

It has been a year already? So good to hear that your recent tests didn't show any progression from the last tests. Amen!  I remember when you were going through your many tests not knowing if you actually had MM or not.

Happy 1 year anniversary!

Take care,
Shan

p.s. Next time I'm in NJ, I'll give you and Tom a "head's up..."

p.s.s. I heard you're having a lil' bit of snow!! I'm soooo jealous!  I still haven't seen any! (But I did see my first squirrel in NJ last September!  Wink)

Hi Greg,

How time does fly. I'm glad to hear you have no progression. Great news!

Hang in there and I'm cheering for your next go around of testing to be as postive as last August.

Here's to your continued positive results and continued good health Smiley

Hugs,

Lore
