2 year ... anniversary?
Jan 24th, 2007 at 7:50pm

Dear friends,

We all have our anniversaries, and for me, it is actually the day I had my stroke that allowed me to discover my MM.  At this time, exactly 2 years ago, I was in an ambulance on my way to the emergency room that started the chain of events that changed my life.

Last year, I celebrated with a long letter to those very close to me and to whom I was thankful for getting me through 2005, especially to my mother.

This year, I am celebrating with a letter to all of you, including the multitude of friends I have made on this board, the numerous people who have shared their stories, their anniversaries, their experiences, and those who began and have maintained this forum for us to do so.

I am not always able to reply to every post, but know that I read, watch and hear all.  You are always in my thoughts, and I celebrate and endure with you in mind and spirit.  Without you, I may have survived physically, but not without the mental spirit that you have surrounded me with these past two years.

So I simply say to all of you, thank you.

With much love and hugs,
Trina (Apu)

Hi Apu,

Your post is so sweet. Smiley

I'm sitting here Smiley thinking about all you have endured and how, when and where we met and all the support you and your family gave me and Kevin and the friendship that has evolved. How wonderful it is to have this forum of great folks to have dialogue,  support and wonderful everlasting frienships. Smiley

You and Kevin (Cubbie) will soon celebrate your two year surgery anniversary. It's hard to believe as sometimes it seems like yesterday.

And I simply say to you, thank you. Smiley

Hugs, Smiley

Hey Apu,

When I read a thread such as this, I can actually feel my heart beating through my chest, and all these thoughts pass through my mind. It truly moves me so, for so many reasons. I think to myself things like… what a lovely, funny, personable person I was fortunate enough to meet. But ya know, you could have stroked in that ambulance to the degree Mandy did, and I never would have truly gotten to know that funny, knucklehead I know now, and Kevin, I think to myself… wow, how on God’s green earth did he survive given’ his situation, but by the grace of God, he did. So I close my eyes and give thanks again, cuz I’m blessed with 2 more knuckleheads I call friends, and I know that there’s a purpose for the storm and I’m so moved by the blessings.

Just some thoughts and thanks as well.  Smiley

HERE'S TO ALL THE WONDERFUL KNUCKLEHEADS on this site!

Apu...in my capacity of Head Chocolatier......I officially name you QUEEN Knucklehead.  A sumptuous, dark chocolate likeness will be constructed in your honor.

Now... upon further thought...I ask...."should I add a few nuts to it?"  LOL!

hugs back at ya...Diane

Trina -

So sorry I haven't responded sooner - haven't been on the board much lately.

Wow - 2 years!  I often look back in awe and just think about what we've all been through and I am amazed at the journey.  I wish you many healthy anniversaries to follow!
