Hi all, I honestly don't know who knows me anymore. It's been a long time since my last post and thankfully the site has grown to huge proportions but I thought I'd fill you in on my most receint test results.
I had an angiogram last monday april 15th in Newyork Presbyterian Hospital.
The results were great!
Dr. Connolly called and said that the temporal artery placed on the surface of my brain looked great and was growing collaterals, though not a whole lot because my blood flow was good to begin with.
He also said that My MCA( moyamoya people know that that means middle cerebral artery was very stable and that in the 21/2 years since my last angiogram, my moyamoya shows absolutely no signs of progressing.
More good news is that a small anyerism that I had was now gone
;
Now here's something to think about, after all those of you who remember me, know that what would a post from me be without a controversial statement.
Dr. Connolly told me 4 years ago that there is no evidence or studies done That shows moyamoya to be progressive once surgery is done.
It is progressive if it is ignored and left untreated.
Well, there's my good news and I hope that you are all well.
Take care, Tom G. 8)
