Jasmine had her first day back at school today

I am new to this group. Jasmine, my daughter who also has Down Syndrome was recently diagnosed with MM. She had surgery on 9/15/07 to stop the bleed and remove the clot. We just got home Wednesday and today she went to school. I was sooooooo nervous but they said she had a great day. She was working puzzles, trying to write her spelling worda and they ued dominoes for math and they said they had her counting out loud! They said her speech is not as clear as it was but they could tell she was saying "One, two, three etc." I feel better now that she and I both survived this day!

Way to go Jasmine! So glad to hear it all went well....and also WECOME to the board!

My best wishes that everything continues to move forward and your family stays healthy and happy.

The board helped to calm a lot of my fears pre/post-surgery as with treatment, most here are doing very well with only a few tweeks once and a while LOL.
