I have not had an IQ test but I am in collage. Before my stroke at age 22 I was an A student. Then after my surgery I went back to finish school and started out as a C and D student. I work full time and have only one class a semester. I still have a long way to go to get my final degree as an Electrical Engineer.  Last Fall semester I got a B in Calululus 4. This last spring semester I got an A in Quantum Physiscs!

I do believe Emily will find her self making the slow clime up the sucess ladder. It just takes time. Also since she is so young I have even more faith that the parts of her brain not effected by the stroke will fill in, they just need time to it figure out. Emliy just had a major shock to the computer system they call a brain and it just need the time to rewire itself. My sugestion is play alot of mind stimulating games with her like concentration. Concentration is the game where you have two cards with matching photos on them and then you arange a bunch of diffrent types of two of a kinds in a group face down. Then you flip one card over then another if they match then leave them face up if they don't then flip both cards over and try agian. That helped me get better. BUT if she gets tired and doesn't want to do it any more stop. Just remeber it take time.
