Bobby,
I have been following Bridget's story through your posts.
If it helps to ease some anxiety, my brother was in very bad shape...two strokes, a hemorrhage, a dissected right upper internal carotid artery, off balance, TIA's and his skin had turned a gray color and he went misdiagnosed for 4 years. Every doctor, in their words, "sent him home to live out whatever life he had left." We found this site which lead us to Dr. Steinberg at Stanford.
I am happy to report, my brother is alive and well today after two successful STA-MCA bypasses by Dr. Steinberg in May 2005. Had it not been by the grace of God, the hands of a skilled, experienced, knowledgeable and caring surgeon, Dr. Steinberg, and the entire Stanford MM team, it goes without saying, my brother would not be here today. With that said, Bridget is in excellent hands.
Keep the faith and know we are here to support you, Bridget and your family through this journey.
Please ask any questions and keep us posted.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
