Hi MMer's

    Just wanted to let everyone know that this is the third anniversary of Kate's second surgery (the first surgery was a week ago.)  Can't believe it has been THREE YEARS !!!

     Kate is doing great and will graduate from Oklahoma State University on December 12, 2008.  She feel good and has not had a TIA or migraine for over a year.  YEAH !!

     Hope all is well with all of you.  We are fine here in Dallas, but expect MORE rain this week from Hurricane Ike.

I have been wondering how you all were doing knowing Ike had made land fall.

We too have been getting rain as a result of all the hurricanes.

Thanks for the caring thoughts, Michelle and Lore.  We are fine in Dallas - a little wet, but no damage of any kind.  

I talked with my family in Houston ( two cousins) an they still have no power, but are ok.  They both lost their beach homes in Galveston, however.  It was really bad there.  Fortunately, very little lose of life.

So glad to hear that you guys were o.k. over the weekend.  My thoughts and prayers go to your cousins with the loss of their homes, but I'm glad they are at least safe.

It's hard to believe it's been 3 years since Kate's surgeries.  As always, it feels much more recent to me.  She's come a long way - please let her know how proud we are of her!  We've talked many times of some of the struggles MM patients face, and I know there have been frustrating moments.  Yet, she persevered, and now gets to look forward to graduating.  What proud times for you and Jon as her parents, and I'm sure she'll continue amazing all of us!
