Wyrik just got out of surgery!!!!!
Sep 18th, 2008 at 4:23pm

Wyrik 3yrs old came out of surgery tuesday night.  it was a 4 hour surgery which was supposed to be 7, but he was awake when he went to his room he is doing well and really puffy and swollen. he is starting to play and is feeling a little better.  they put disolvable stitches in his head so he doesn't have to come back to have them taken out. he may get out of the hospital tomarrow. he has a different scar than most mm patients because the artery that they wanted to take first wasn't strong enough so they had to cut a sideways  T shape in his head so he had two incisions instead of just one. also he had to have a blood transfusion because he didn't have enough oxygen in his blood but he is doing fine, the poor guy won't let anyone besides us come near him anymore he doesn't want pokes or medicine and they still keep sticking him.  poor thing anyways just wanted to let everyone know his surgery was a sucess.  he is doing fine.

I am so Happy to hear he is doing well.  Did they take an artery from the other temple? Mine I had the same problem. They went in and found my temple artery wasn't strong enough so they decided to get one from my forhead so my scar goes from the hair line behind the ear all the way to the frount.  Let him know he isn't the only one who doen't like the pokes and medicnes.
Take care,
Becky

wyrik got out of the hospital friday he is doing great he acts like he never even had surgery. we got free tickets to the 49ers game and so we went today we had wonderful seats and wyrik had a blast. they won over the lions. but he is back to normal he is playing and eating as if nothing had ever happened i have to keep an eye on him because he wants to climb and his skull isn't healed i am so scared of him falling right now.  at least he is doing well.

AMEN!  ;Grin

Thank you for sharing the great news about Wyrik!  It's such a great feeling to hear success stories such as this.  I remember when you first posted a thread about Wyrik...and to see how far he's come since then is so  Smileywarming.

Did you say 49er game?  Well, now it all makes sense?  Having a MM specialist perform your sugery is the MOST important decision (I feel)... However, attending a 49er game during your recovery?...priceless!  Wink  It's no wonder he's doing extra well!  hee hee... (Sorry Shane  Wink)

Thank you for sharing the wonderful news!  We will continue keep him in our prayers for a speedy recovery.
Many blessings to being wonderful parents as well!

Take care,
Shan
