That's good to hear that the surgery went well. I had something kinda like that happen to me, but it was after my surgery for me ruptured anserysum, I actually just have a shunt ( you have to have one after blood on the brain, most the time it is not permanent, its just to drain all the extra blood on the brain) taken out about 2 hours prior, ( nothing to numb it, it really didnt hurt as much as you would think) anyways, i was sitting there watching tv, waiting to go to my room on the regular floor, and all the sudden i couldnt smile for about 7 min, i paged me nurse, she came just as my episode was ending, I never really got a answer why it happened, it could, be just because we have the surgery dosent mean, we wont have mini-strokes, (tia's) we still have MMD. So i dont have any help really, but i did go through the same things almost, Its hard, but hang in there , and just be strong for your daughter,
