Exercising questions...
Mar 1st, 2009 at 5:18pm

I've been working to get my weight down. Somedays are easier than others. I however have one problem. When I work out I get the worst pain in my temples. I only had one surgery STA-MCA bypass on my left side a year ago. However, the pain is worse on my right side. Now I'm not overdoing it, it happens everytime I get my heart rate up. For instance, I was dancing last night and boom, I had to stop. I went for a hike last week and the same thing happened. It's the worst sharp pain. The sharpness goes away as soon as my heart rate is down however, I'm left with a nice headache. I started seeing a new neurologist and will be following up with him. I just wanted to know if anyone has had these problems. Thanks.

First off is your new neurologest know MM?

Second you are not the only one that has had this issue. I still after 5 years need to slow down and rest. I have been trying to exersise more and I love to dance. When I feel it coming on I stop what ever i am doing and sit down and wait for my templos to stop throbing, and my blood pressure settels. When I am swiming I just stop and float on my back untill things clam down. This inclueds things couples like to do privatly together. Just beware of your limits and know when it is time to stop. Most of the time when I am at a dance club I will dance untill I have the issue then sit down and rest then go back and dance.  Yes for me too some days are easyer then others.  You are not overdoing just let whom ever you are with what is going on and they will understand. They don't want you passing out. Goo luck and get to know your limits.

What doesn't kill us, makes us stronger. And sometimes leaves a cool looking scar.     STA-MCA bypass and EMS Surgeries done at same time at the Mayo clinic
