Weird head symptoms
Mar 18th, 2009 at 8:43pm

A while back I posted about pain in my head when I exercised. The pain has actually gotten worse when I'm just walking and getting my heart rate up at all, for instance if I'm laughing, sneezing or g
etting upset with my kids. I also have been having these weird symptoms in my head. I get dizzy spells, tons of pressure, weird vision changes and sometimes some loss of vision in an eye right down the middle. I have also been recently having problems with my speech. It's okay if it is just me that notices, but I now have people at work who are beginning to pick up on the speech issues and the memory issues. I am 1 year post op. My neuro here in KC has moved my apointment up and I see him next Monday. I'm trying to not be alarmed, but just wondering if anyone else experiences this.

wow, thats almost me to a tee! But, I haven't had surgery!  I monitor my blood pressure.  My monitor has an indicator that tells me when I have an irregular heartbeat, and that indicator usually shows up when I am having symptoms.  So, I monitor several times a day and take my BP meds accordingly, 1/2 a pill to 2 pills per day depending on how high it is.  Also, sometimes my BP bottoms out and that is when I usually see the speech problems.  It ddoesn't cost a whole lot to get a monitor and by chacking what your BP is when you have symptoms and when you don't (Keep a log) you can discover ALOT!  At least I did!  Good luck!  Keep us posted
God Bless You ALL

Hi Reagan,  I had very similar symptoms to the vision problems you wrote about.  It was like looking at static on a T.V. in just one eye.  I was sent to an opthomologist (eye doc) at the University of Utah.  She said I have a lot of MM vessels going through my left eye.  When I have had TIA's they always affect that eye.  I am just about 3 years post-double-STA/MCA bypasses at Stanford. (3/29/06 and 4/2/06)  I have had 2 TIA's since then.  They still affect my eyes but not nearly as bad.  It is more like having eye strain.  IMO, I would see if an optho would see you as a patient.  It might show if you have MM vessels in your eyes as well. Wink Best of luck, MMnewtUt/Natalie
