Question anyone
Jun 21st, 2009 at 10:48pm

My daughter had her bil surgeries last november. Has anyone had any problems getting wisdom teeth pulled? I am trying to get something set up for an oral surgeon to pull 2 wisdom teeth. I have taken my daughter to 2 different oral surgeons for consultations and they want her admitted into a hospital for a few days with a team of drs, like a neurologist, internist, anesthesiologist and the oral surgeon. It will cost a fortune to remove 2 teeth. I don't understand at all. She has to sign a paper at the reg. dentist that says she could have a stroke during a tooth filling. I know the seriousness of this disease but it seems like everything we try to do has to be so darned difficult. Also another question. My daughter wears a sweater in 90 degree humid weather and i am wondering if anyone else has had this, where they are cold all the time. My daughter has had 7 strokes before and with the surgeries. Could this be something malfunctioning, like the hypothalamus...Anyone have any thoughts on this?

For both questions I would ask her Neurologest. I have had my wisdome teeth removed and all they asked me for was a written note from my Neurologest sent directly to thier office stating that I am cleared for the removal, and anystshia (SP?). I did have them removed 4 years post surgery and I was stable. I would have your Neurologest talk to her oral surgen and see if they can clear things up. As far ar the temp regulating thing i would definitly talk you your Neurologest!  Do you have a MoyaMoya sepecialest neurologest for follow ups? Please keep us posted with how she is doing. Good luck.
