I am so sorry to hear Neme is having alot of problems. I don't have MM as suver as Neme but I did have both the STA-MCA direct bypass and EMS - indirect bypass -> muscle (and it's bloody supply) is laid down on the surface of the brain and left to grow. It sound like Dr.Stineberg want to do the EDAS - indirect bypass -> arteries are laid on the surface of the brain and left to grow.  Dr.Stineberg knows best but I would ask why he choose EDAS insted of the EMS. My STA-MCA was projected not to work very well so my MM neurologest wanted to do the EMS for more blood flow. I am 5 years post op and i get migraines once and a while now but not as offten as before (almost daily). Even though the surgerys I had worked for me, Dr. Stineberg knows what he is doing to maximise Neme's results so she can get better. The road may seem long and hard but stay strong. I sugest writing down all the questions you have about the surgery(s) Dr.Stineberg is sugesting for Neme, he should beable to answer all your questions.
Stay strong!
I will pray for Neme.

Wow, what a scary situation. I was happy to hear she is seeing Dr. Steinburg though. From what I hear from all of you she is in the best place possible. I'm sure he'll do the best he can. I wanted to sign there guest book but did not have time now. I have never been on caringbridge and it said I needed a password so I have to register. I'll do it after Adri goes to bed. Dani

I got the update about Neme today and it seems her father is not doing well. He is having a surgery because he has some sort of a blockage in the heart. This must feel like a nightmare to Tunde, Our prayers to her to be strong through this very difficult time and to Neme and James hope there surgeries go well and easy on all of them.

Tunde,
Please stay strong God must have a reason to test you like this. I will pay for James and Neme to get through this. I will also say a prayer for you to keep your strenght through this tough time.

I know that most of us are keeping tabs on Neme's condition and progress through the caringbridge.
Just in case you are not here is the update.
Jim had surgery on Wed with 4 stents placed in arteries near his heart that were blocked to one degree or another.  He is tired and needs time to recover, but is doing well.
Yesterday Neme had her first bypass surgery (indirect), she is doing fine, no problems other than the usually, pain and some vomiting after surgery.
Lets comtinue to keep them all in our prayers.
Tunde is an inspiration to us all.  She is a very strong women.
