CHANGING SYMPTOMS
Jul 7th, 2009 at 5:42am

Hi,

Paula had begun to experience changes in her MM symptoms, earlier had "pain" and / or loss of strength in their hands (with or without dysarthria), but since about a month ago has begun to complain of "itching" (I think they are paresthesias ) on her feet ... Has anyone experienced a change in their symptoms? Paula had the symptoms I described earlier for a year, and now we are changing ...

Thank you very much.

I've had a bit of paresthesias recently. Basically experienced as a transient, tingling sensation on the left side of my upper back. I mentioned it to my neurologist who asked that I keep her informed about its the frequency and duration. I haven't yet reported it to Stanford. I'd experienced the sensation before my surgeries, but never associated it with MM. I've since read online that it may be associated with stroke damage. In which case, there's nothing to be done. I intend to follow up with my neurologist and report it to Stanford next week. I think you should do the same for Paula, just to be on the safe side.

Thank you very much Kim. The question is that Drs don't know if these episodes could be TIAs (they are too frequent ...) or something diferent. If they were as consecuence of the strokes, I would be really more relaxed ..... but when Paula experienced these symptoms in the right side, there wasn't any stroke on this side ...
