Yes, I am one of Dr. Steinberg's patients and I had my surgeries in April of this year. I was told to drink 3 liters of decaffinated beverages each day. Preferably water but you can drink other thinks as long as they do not contain caffiene or alcohol. Alcohol is ok once in a while but it is also dehydrating so not too much and you should not include it as part of the 3 liters for the day. I hope this helps. When I am a little dehydrated I can definitly tell, I have symptoms on my stroke side.
