Hi! I had my first diamox spect done yesterday at mayo clinic.  It didn't do well.  Cause they were trying to find out why I was have stroke symptoms on the same side of body as my mmd.  I have left unilateral mmd.   They came up with that my left side of my brain was stealing blood oxygen from my right side.  Which caused me to have left side paralysis.  So the diamox spect to see if they are correct.   Well as soon as they injected me with the diamox, 10 mins later I start having my stroke symptom on my left side.   To me thats pretty conclusive.   But I was sent then to the ER to get checked out and then hurried back to get the test done.   Today I finish the test but with out the diamox.  Thank goodness.   Has anyone else had this problem???   They keep on saying at mayo that I am a rare case.   But I don't know.   And also does anyone have pain?   I have pain in all my joints, muscles, head and neck on the left side.   The doctors here say its not related but I didn't have this pain before my first stroke symptom.   Sometimes I feel like I'm in a losing battle.   Were at mayo and thats when we get news from Stanford to go out there.   Well I'm already here.  I went ahead and made a appt there just in case.   We will have to see what God has prepared for me.
