Retaining good health? Help
Feb 21st, 2010 at 10:58am

Hello.  I'm an old member on here, but forgot the pw to the original account.  Anyway, I must know the answers to my questions, but want to hear from others.  Another topic was very similar that I started.  Looking for different answers.  thanks

I'm about 4 years since my op on the left side and was getting really healthy after rehab and exercise. A year ago I got sick (cold/flu) and from then on I never really exercised as much. I don't reside the US anymore. My symptoms come back when I try to sing or when I exercise only slightly...  My right arm feels dead again. Is it possible to get worse after getting better? My pictures of the vessles looked wonderful the last time  i went in.  I canceled the other appointments since I don't have insurance and am not in the country.

What kind of foods and exercises can  I do to rehabilitate myself back to a better, healthier me?  I'm so afraid that it's getting worse again. Just little signs. it might be coming on the other side also.  My arms feel pretty dead and heavy.

Do we have to deal with symptoms our whole life?  This is painful. I want to have a family someday and it just doesn't seem that easy...

It's progressive, so if you have only had one side treated, it could very likely be that your symptoms are due to the other side now needing attention. It's always a good idea to lead a healthy lifestyle, but I don't think that alone is going to be a fix. You need to bite the bullet and drag yourself into the doctor to find out what is actually happening. Wait around and this lousy disease could provoke a stroke. Recovery from that is not so easy.
