I'm not sure how to even describe this but here goes...my daughter had surgery (Indirect) on her right side in December 2008.  She plays in the band at high school and has nver had a problem.  Today she changed reeds and I think she had to blow a little harder.  she said her artery got bigger and felt weird.  I think it is probably just like when a weith lifter works out and their veins get bigger...as well as runners, etc.  Just curious if any one else has had this happen so I can put her fears at rest.  I think she was worried that she was going to blow something out, so to speak.  I would be more worried if she said she felt tingling or numbness.

Hi Kim,  she's OK except for the headaches.  I think she had one day last week without one.  I think she was just feeling the effects of blowing too hard when her surgery site bothered her.  I think it scared her a little.
