Sorry if this is a bit long but we've had some really strange things going on with Kathleen for about 3 weeks. Three weeks ago today she had a bout of diarhea a couple of days of it. She seems to stay hydrated but did a LOT of crying with pain in her belly. She seemd much better and started going back to school had a couple of normal bowel movements. Then she started waking up crying every morning. She would seems fine when she woke up chatting aobut the day but then when she actually got up she would fold over in a ball hold her head and start crying unconsolable. She would seem better after a hour or so and went to school for the next four days. They said she seemd tired and would put her head down a lot. Not at all herself. the episodes got longer each morning. We would ask her all the time if somehting hurt, she said no. I would go through every body part "no" On Friday I asked her about her head did it hurt she said no I asked how does your head feel she said dizzy. I aske dher what dizzy meant and she said like spinning. I asked her aobut her legs she said they felt really long. So we went to the PC doc and he checked out ears throat etc. Of course by the time we got there she seemd fine (it was later in the day). We called her neuro and he said if it happened later that day to call him back. It didn't (never really did happne in the eafternoon). She had a good day. Then Saturday morning she woke up crying holding her head again said she was dizzy. We called the neuro back and she sent us to the ER. She was admitted and they did a CT scan and MRI/MRA. They didn't see any changes as far as new strokes. She said one vessel looked very narrow so she wants us to send the disk of her MRI to Dr. Scott. She seemd fine in the hospital and no crying episodes but she still when asked, responded that she was dizzy. They were thinking maybe left over affects from the diarhea 2 weeks ago. We got home Tuesday and it started all over again crying holding her head still responding she's dizzy. She fell asleep at about 5 aqnd woke up at about 6. Crying again... at one point said her belly hurt. Called the neuro back and she sent us back to the ER. When we got there she was doing fine(again later in the afternoon). Her belly no longer hurt. but she did still respond when asked that she was dizzy( of course my husband thinks now she's just used to saying yes and isn't) It's the only thing she responds yes to. They did some blood work checking function of her vital organs and all came back good. we went home and she ate and went to bed. Woke up and did not want to get up still tired wanted to go back to sleep. I wen in and checked with on her and she was smiling and wanted to get up and eat. When she sat up she held her head cried and layed back down. I watched her she helpher eyes and whimpered then would open them look around and cry again. So this is our rollercoaster ride and I'm very confused To say the least! Any input from you all would be greatly appreciated. It kind of scares me. Butthe MRI showed no strokes.

Havethem test her sodium levels.  I know when mine get off I get really dizzy/light headed and get an upset stomach and a really bad headache.  It has somthing to do with the water/salt balance in our bodies it can get thrown off easy from things like the flu or diarieaha.  Just a thought I can't say for sure it the same thing I experinced but it might be somthing to check into. i am having alot of the same kind of resopnses from the er as you are and everytime they see my daughter she is fine by then but her problem is passing out and cant walk wont wake up the drs tell me if her blood pressure gets low for any reason is lowers the blood supply to the brain so there can be any number of problems that can go wrong depending on witch part of the brain is denied blood at that moment and that i have to just take it as it comes so no mor ehot showers for her that was a new one that that lowers the blood pressure   maybe something like that is wrong
