Hey Nance & Shari,

Did you hear that they wanna make Street Road "Smarty Jones Blvd."? Cool huh!?! I wonder if that's whether he wins the Triple crown or not(?)  Anybody know?

I haven't been to the The Phila. Race Track in years. For racing anyway... I love the flea market though!!!...lol..

I heard that!  I think the city's jumpin' on the band wagon!  Not that the name "Street Road" is any better!  I always got a kick out of that name.

LMAO.. Not that I'm aware of Rena, no Road Street...lol

But one of our main, major Highways right outside of Philly, the one the race track is on, is called "Street Road," different huh? Smiley But...another thing is, west of the city is Lancaster, where all the "Amish" live and where they filmed the movie "Witness" we have the strangest names for towns there. Just to name a few...

Intercourse, PA.

Puseyville, PA.

Blue Balls, PA

Paradise,  PA....

Weird huh? Smiley We must not a had real thinkers when they came up with these...lol..Smiley So, I'll take Street Road any day...lol  Smiley

Getting ready for the big hockey game tonight...game 7...
Smiley  Go Flyers!!!  Smiley I'm gonna need it!!!

So you know how DJ is wondering why there are more adults than children with MM on this site?  What about people from Philly as opposed to anywhere else?  Does this make three of us or are there even more?

I can't say I want to move back to Philly as the northeast weather doesn't do anything for me but I do really miss Philly...but I found a great cheesesteak down here in Austin!  And they used to have water ice too!  (but the place closed down...maybe there is another place?)

I am in Houston, but thought I'd join this conversation...

What is water ice? Isn't ice "water". Anyways, just curious...

It is like Italian ice but smoother and the flavor is in the granules, not just poured on top to seep to the bottom.  It is kinda like sorbet but not...I have never really been able to explain it but for me it is the best because it is really cheap, really yummy, and (at least in my mind) a fairly low cal dessert.

Smiley You never had Philly's water ice?  Smiley I like Rita's water ice the best!! It's compact flavored ice. Similar to a "slurpee" (Ever have a slurpee?) Only this water ice is much better!!! (IMO) Smiley

We also are the Hoagie and cheese steak capital!...lol  Cheesy

I do know others from here in Philly who have mm. I don't have any idea if it all means anything, but I talk to at least three others.  Smiley

Sara thanks for posting the question so I wouldn't have too....lol

If it's like a slurpy why doesn't it have a better name than "water ice"?
