I get out of the Stanford Hospital today.  My surgery is over.  All my tests are done.  All I need is my staple taken out.  I'm heading home on July 9th.   ;Grin  Thankyou for your support.

It's not how much time we have that matters. It's what we do with the time we have.

David and Angie,

Congratulations on getting out of the hospital!  We are so happy for you!

Tara and I just missed you on Thursday.  We went to B3 at about 1:30 before Tara's speech therapy appt.  David's name was on the board, but there wasn't anyone in the room.  Tara was tired after her appt., so we didn't check back after it.  Sounds like we missed you by just a few minutes.  Too bad . . .

What are you guys doing tomorrow?  It would be great to hook up with you before you head home.  We don't have anything but church planned so far, so let us know what things look like for you, o.k.?

Glad to hear your positive report - another success story for the incredible Dr. Steinberg!

Bye, David.  Bye, Angie and Mom!

You are truly nice and sweet and knowledgeable people.  Thank you for answering all of mine and Jason's and Jimmy's -- oh, and Kristina's questions while going through her first surgery.  We enjoyed visiting with y'all, too!  You have a wonderful family.  Got to see a picture of your daughter and son, and they are both so adorable.

You have a lovely and wonderful and caring family.  I am so very lucky to have met each of you.  God bless you!

SmileyIt sounds as though all of you had a better experience than normal since all of you had each other there at the same time to support each other!!! That is wonderful!  I'm sure it made everything a little easier knowing that others are just around the corner going through the exact same process- eventhough it is not a fun experience to go through, I am sure.  I just hope that when the time comes for me to be in Stanford, that I will have a "MM Buddy" across the hall!!  I am just soaking all of this good info up in my mind for when my time comes.  Maybe at least I will know what  to expect.  Sounds like everyone is doing great and I am so happy.  Everyone have a safe trip home and I will pray for your continued progress! Smiley

Laura,
I hope you are fortunate enough to have another MM out there at the same time also. We had another family going through it and D.J. there also when Mandy was getting her surgery and it made all the difference in the world to be able to ask someone if this is right or this is wrong, at the rate people are going to Dr.S. I'm sure someone may be out there. It's amazing how you make this immediate bond with them and it feels like you've known them forever, its really unbelievable. Good Luck!
