A reminder...
Jul 6th, 2004 at 2:06am

Make sure if you're going out of town for a couple of days and are taking your laptop so you can stay connected to the internet, make sure you pack not only your phone cord/ethernet cable... but the POWER CORD to your laptop so you can plug it in when the battery runs out! lol

Some things you can't just by at Wal Mart if you forget them!

Yep, I'm speaking from experience!  Went to Kansas City for the races this weekend and made sure to grab my laptop and all my cables.... everything but the power cord that is.  A laptop doesn't do you much good when it won't even turn on cause the battery is dead!  lol

Bet that doesn't happen again!

Good advice my dear but at least you weren't as dumb as I recently was!  I brought all that you mentioned, including the power cord, but forgot the actual laptop!  Smiley

Wanted to get online from mom's but her computer kept kicking us off before it could get online.  Wasn't until we were getting ready to leave and I was cleaning that I realized the phone line wasn't plugged in.

Good old BFE--Still using dial-up.

It is a term that means way out in the boonies.  Kinda foul language if you spell it out so, use your imagination. Smiley

There is absolutely nothing wrong with dial-up unless you are like my mom who moves her computer around and then forget to plug it back in.
And to think I will be just like her someday.
