Graduation Day
May 27th, 2005 at 2:19pm

Well, it's here.  Tara's high school graduation is tomorrow morning.  I've been very weepy this whole week, starting with the Baccalaureate (sp?) service last Sunday.  Man, oh man, it was like waterworks that couldn't be stopped!

We're having a party at our house following the ceremony, and since Tara's one year surgery date is on 6/2, we're combining our celebrations.

I keep wondering how the last 18 years passed so quickly and how I can possibly be this old.  Anyway, just wanted to share, as I'm sure many of you will relate to both of these milestones.  Just look for me in the bleachers tomorrow . . . I'll be the one who can't stop crying.

Hugs to my MM family, and I hope you all have a great Memorial Day weekend!

Jill

Congratulations Tara! Smiley You go girl!

You are officially an adult now girl. It's a time in your life when you look ahead to where you're going and to what the future could hold for you. I pray with God’s grace, it can be anything your heart desires. I pray for you good health, strength, courage, wisdom and much happiness in all that you do.

Just always remember girl, you can be anything you want to be, but it isn’t what you "know" or what you "have" that’s important in life, but "who you are inside" that’ll take you places that dreams are made of. So keep that precious spirit that I’ve heard so much about alive always.

You have a right to be proud Mom! Smiley

Enjoy your party!  Smiley

Love,
Mar

Hi Jill and Tara,

Congrats to Tara! (Iwanted to put a cheerleader icon here but you know how technically challenged I am) so I will say CHEERS Tara!!  Also, Happy Anniversary.

Jill, I know how hard it is to watch your child journey to this next stage in life.  One day I looked at my son and he was a boy the next day I looked at him and he was a man.  Time goes so quickly.  Tara will make an excellent nurse because she knows what it is like to go through something as traumatic as moyamoya.  I know you are proud of Tara and her accomplishments and you should be.  You are both an inspiration to all.

Hugs,

Lore and Kevin
