Surgery on Monday
Jul 8th, 2005 at 9:52am

Hello,

Going for surgery on Monday, direct bypass at Brigham and women Hospital in Boston, Ma. I am lucky I only live an hour away. I am really nervous and the butterflies have started. I'm sure it is natural to get nervous and have some anxiety. I hope the weekend goes by quick.
I hope to do as well as some of our friends here ,that have had it done. I think that is what keeps me positive. That I'm not alone. We have each other.
     Talk to you soon......after surgery...
                                                             thanks Lena

Hi Lena,

You are definitely not alone in this!  Your MM family will be thinking of you, and saying prayers for a successful surgery followed by a smooth recovery.

Yes, the nervousness is very natural . . . my particular prayer will be for you to have a calm mind and heart as you go into surgery.

Please keep us posted when you're able to.  We'll be looking forward to hearing from you!

Hugs from out west,
Jill

Lena,

I know it's already Tuesday...so you should be recovering right now.  I know you'll be just fine.  I'm about a month and a half post-op now...and I believe that half this battle of MM is psychological.  The worrying and the unknown has been really tough, but trust me...you'll make it.  DJ, through this website, has really provided a lot of support for me and a lot of others like us.

We'll continue to keep you in our prayers...stay strong and let us know how you're doing.

Take care,
SFH
