Moya Moya & Ali's Rally on TV
Sep 28th, 2005 at 1:52am

Alison Gerlach, a 17 year old high school senior suddenly passed away in February 2003, less than a week after suffering a stroke and being diagnosed with Moya Moya.  The third annual fundraiser in Ali's name is being held this Saturday in Buffalo, New York.

AM Buffalo, a local morning talk show did a segment on Alison, Moya Moya and organ donation/transplantation.

A digital copy of the segment is available for viewing on the Ali's Rally website, Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register.  The video is at the bottom of the events page.

Keith,

Thank you so much for sharing this morning's TV segment with our MM family!  As I've said to you before, Ali's story makes my heart break . . . mostly because my daughter was 17 at the time of her surgeries . . . but the legacy Ali has left and what all of you who loved her are doing with organ transplantation is just awesome.

The best of luck to you all this Saturday!  I wish I could be there to bowl with everyone - it sounds like alot of fun!  I'm sure it will be a successful event, and my guess is that Ali will be smiling down on her family and friends.

Hugs from out west,
Jill

Keith,

Thanks for sharing the TV segment with us.  It's a very touching story and just like Jill, I wish I could be there to bowl for such a worthy cause.  I am an organ donor as well if something were to happen to me.

Keith,

Thanks so much for sharing the TV segment on Ali's fund raising efforts for organ transplanatation.

I'm sorry to hear of the Gerlach family lose of Ali as a result of moyamoya disease. Breaks my heart...she was so young and beautiful.

Ali gave so many the gift of life through organ donation. I believe Ali lives on through others and I believe it is  great what  the Gerlach family is doing for organ donation/transplantation in Ali's memory.  I too am an organ donor and wish I could attend Saturday's event.

We wish the best success to Saturday's event and will keep the Gerlach family in our thoughts and prayers.

Hugs,

Lore
