Hi every body, my waiting game is over like Jan, my surgery dated is Apr 7 with doctor Tamargo @ John Hopkins hospital, he said that he will do STA-MCA by pass and Encephalo duro arteiro mys synangloss(EDAMS)not sure if I spell right, he hope that to do that I have more change to not to worry about my right side at least for now, sound weird but I'm excited couldn't wait for the dated to come

Kieu,

I'm glad to hear that you have surgery scheduled. I don't know much about this surgeon that is doing your surgery. I'll read up on him though. I will also give you a call probably over the weekend and see how you are doing. I plan on being there for your surgery though. I've already taken the day off. My brother may come up later, also. Do you know what time the surgery is scheduled for? And will they be admitting you the night before surgery? Let me know.

Even though I have the surgery dated, I still don't know that what next, is there any test, check up, etc... the Surgeon told me that his secretary will get all information in order and give me a call, I looking forward for that call to get set up for my schedule and made arrangment for my 3 kids, that lady is not on my favor list, she seem have attitude when I try to call and check on my schedule. Only 3 weeks to go and still not hear from her yet, can any one tell me what do they do to me before surgery? I want to know.

Hi Kieu,

I'm not sure what kinds of tests they are running on you since you are at a different hospital, I'm getting another MRI, two (2) SPECT scans, a xenon scan and a neuro-psych test. I'm arriving at Stanford on April 12th and will have my tests run from April 14th thru April 18th. I will keep in touch to see how you are doing.

Posts: 207 richmond, USA, VA, Virginia Gender:	Re: I have schedule surgery Reply #5 - Mar 24^th, 2006 at 3:20pm Hi, as of today I already have blood work done and chest X ray, have to go to Johns Hopkins hospital on Monday for preop, I have to be in hospital @ 6:00 AM on Apr7 for surgery and doctor said surgery will take 6 hours ;, getting more excited , couldn't wait.
