My name is Dana & I'm from Alabama, recently I've been in the hospital since May 3rd til May 15th, & returned back on May 18th & currently still here today... The doctors have found out that I have restricted blood flow occuring in the Duodenum ( part of the stomach that then attachs to the 1st part of your small intestine), which I have been uncontrolliably vomitting & get dehydrated. (SPELLING??) They do not know why this has happened & what diagnosis to place with it at this time.... I have been on steriods by injections thru IV of Solumedrol & currently they are tapering me off of it, they are trying to send me to Vanderbilt which doctor I'm not sure yet, I've been stuck so many times that I agreed to have the Picc Line placed in my left arm back on Friday....
The two doctors here are not knowledgable of Moya Moya & feel that it isn't related to the Gastrology problems that I have...
I'm writing this message for any feed back if possible...
I was due to go under for my second EDAS surgery with Dr. Winfield Fisher at UAB Hospital this summer, but due to my current blood problems & levels, that will not be happening until much later. No problems with MOYA MOYA so far...... My first surgery was successful I just hate taking KEPPRA medication and no driving.... Oh, course right now I don't feel up to driving...
Keep me in your prayers, & may the Lord show the doctors some solid answers to my unknown condition..
Love
Dana
