in 2005, arterial restricion

Hi all,

A quick question (but remember I do not have MM, but rather a mass-restricion in my left MC1)...

Have any of you noticed more symptom on low pressure weather days, i.e. days that it is over cast and/or raining?

For the past month, it has been blue skies and sunny...and, I've been TIA symptom free...however on days like today where it is over cast and rainy, my right hand tends to feel tired and numb, and my thoughts are a bit slow....

Have any of you experienced anything like this?

I was misdiagnosed with MM in March of 2005. In January 2006, I was told it is not MM, but rather a massive restriction in the MC1 segment of my left carotid artery.

The air pressure can really affect a lot of things.I know some people who get migraines durring this kind of weather.The weather that most affects kathleen is the heat.The heat just wipes her out.She gets very lethargic,and really tries to avoid being in it.She prefers being outside in the morning or evening when she knows it's cooler.I'm working on getting air conditioning in her classroom for next year.I've noticed something really strange and I have no idea if it's MM related stroke related or maybe even Down syndrome related.But she doesn't seem to sweat.She can be sitting right next to kids that are dripping sweat and she's "bone dry".Anyone ever notice anything similar to this?

Gregg,

I have always noticed that Daphne's temperament/ energy levels change with the falling barometor. In fact, there have been several times when she's acted "funny" on a sunny day, but that night, or the next morning, it's rainy or overcast.

I know that I feel more tired and less focused on days that are cloudy and rainy, and I am "healthy". I think there is something to it!

I haven't had any TIA's since my surgery, but I have noticed the way weather changes affect me. -Shari

Yes I do. I get pressure headace for everychange in pressure. Yesterday it snowed for a few minutes in MN, USA and I told a classmate that is was going to snow and about a minute before it stoped I said it was going to stop realy soon and it did both. all the changes in the season and just before a good rain or snow I get a headace. But before all this I sprained my ankel when I was 11 and I could feel something then that ankel would get stiff and not want to move well. So I think if you have had some body trama it doesn't ever fully heal and then you feel the changes in the air pressue.
that is my two cents on it.
