Tuesday,Paige had her 1st arteriogram since her bypass in December.The results showed that both bypasses are working great but there is still signs of disease progression.I haven't had a chance to speak in detail with her surgeon so I'm assuming that the progression is in an area of the brain not affected by the bypass.Has anyone else had a similar experience with this?I was under the impression that since she has had both sides operated on that there isn't too much else that can be done.If anyone has any info about this,please let me know.The results also showed that there is an increased amount of collateral vessels but from what I have read,they are very small and are not as "reliable".Right now,Paige hasn't been having any symptoms.Since her surgery,she has only had one TIA and her headaches have went away completely.I have been able to rest alot easier since she has stopped having TIAs(before surgery,she was having them every other day) but now,the worrying has started again with these results.I am hoping that I am just overreacting but as we all know this disease can be very unpredictable.Thank you all for letting me ramble like this.God Bless you all.
