In the March edition of "RespectAbility," the Tri-County Independant Living newsletter, there's an article about being handicapped and kayaking. I was interviewed about how kayaking has added a huge dimention to my life with moyamoya and post strokes. There's an ok sidebar about moyamoya as well. The article is really about Marna, who has her own physical handicaps. Marna specializes in making kayaking available to everyone. When I began kayaking I was using a cane and/or a walker! Jack and I now have three kayaks!  empowerment! I never thought I'd get this far. Check it out.

I almost found it on-line at http://www.tilinet.org/News.htm
But, when I clicked on the link to the pdf version of the RespectAbility Newsletter it was the December 2007 edition that came up. Hope they can get the March issue posted soon. I'm looking forward to reading it.
P.S. We changed the date of the N.W. gathering to August 16-17. Hope you can make it - the kyaking is pretty fantastic around here, especially during he summer.
