Could it be???
Sep 13th, 2008 at 11:24am

Hi, I have a busy time for awhile, that including my mother have a small blockage that blinded her left eye.
Suddenly her left eye couldn't see, it feel like she have a big black stripe crossing her eye, I took her to ER and find out her central retinal artery is close, she be blind permenant on that eye.  Yesterday, her eye doctor said the same thing.
I took her to do all tests that her doctor order including MRI, echovascular, we don't have result yet until Tues., my family and I thought she may have moyamoya, I really hope not, it kind worry me for her to have surgery at 70 yrs old.  I will post the result when we have appt. on Tues.

I have a handfull for awhile, anyway, updated on my mother case, she have all the test she need and doctor couldn't find anything wrong, they say she have stroke but don't know why, with family history they think she may have moyamoya but MRI not showing it.  She didn't want to go through with angiogram, so now she take aspirin and we kids just keep the eyes on her.

see if she would do an MRI with the angio dye. I had my last appt they didn't go through my leg they just passed the dye through my IV.  See if they can do it that way.

What doesn't kill us, makes us stronger. And sometimes leaves a cool looking scar.     STA-MCA bypass and EMS Surgeries done at same time at the Mayo clinic
