5 Year Surgery Anniversary
Nov 10th, 2009 at 12:52pm

Today marks my 5 year anniversary since I had my first direct bypass surgery.  It's truly hard to believe and such a milestone.  I give my thanks to DJ for developing this website for those that have been diagnosed and their families.  It was a truly a lifesaver for me!  I also give thanks to all of you that gave me advice over the last 5 years.  You all are truly remarkable people and it's nice to know I have a family here.  I also thank Dr. Steinburg and his neurosurgery team at Stanford for saving my life and giving me a whole new chance at life.  I am TRULY blessed.  May God bless all of you here.

Congratulations!!

I am so happy to hear you are doing well.  Matthew is officially 10 years post surgery (as of Sept. 7th).  It is a great feeling, isn't it!

I, too, am grateful for this website.  When Matthew was first diagnosed, this didn't exist.  Trust me, I looked!!  But it is nice to connect with people who understand where we have been, where we are, and where we are going!!

Congratulations on your five years. I felt the same way when I celebrated my six years. I would be lost without this site and the friends I have made.
God Bless, Sharo

Congratulations Michelle on reaching your 5 year anniversary. Smiley

How time flies! I can't believe it has been 4 years since we first met at Stanford.

You looked marvelous when I saw you last year. Smiley

You are hope and inspiration to all MMers.

Keep up the good work my friend and here's to many, many more anniversaries. Smiley

Hugs, Smiley

Lore

Lore,

It's so good to hear from you.  I miss everyone so much.  I've been really bad about getting on the boards, but plan on making it something I do at least twice a week now.

How is Kevin doing?  Shane and I think about him and you often.  We were truly blessed to have met you two.

Hugs to both of you,
Michelle
