Geoff & Tanya,

My daughter and I flew to India and back without any problems.  and you have to consider all the prople that fly out to Stanford to have their bypass with Dr. Steinberg.  I personally would say flying isn't a problem.  Have a great trip.

My daughter also flew to India 6 months before her surgery. We had no idea at the time she had moyamoya. If you're worried though ask your doctor.
Can I assume that you live in Australia? We live in Victoria.

My daughter's surgery was done at The Royal Melbourne Hospital by John Laidlaw. He was fantastic and would highly recommend him.
She has unilateral moyamoya and only needed the one surgery. She was not diagnosed with moyamoya until many months after her surgery.
Hope you have a great holiday and all goes well.
Take care.
PS: if you have any questions you would like to ask please email me.
