Has anyone else on here (with MM) been advised to NOT go scuba diving or sky diving?
(As in for the rest of their life)

Yes, we were told the same thing.  I believe it has to do with pressure and oxygen concerns.

I was told not to SCUBA, Sky Dive or Bungie-Jump, and be cautious of roller costers/simulation rides.

SCUBA = pressure and lack of oxygen

Sky Diving = too many G-forces, and "lack" of pressure and oxygen.

Bungie-Jump = Wiplash, and just all around bad for non MM people too.

Roller Costers/Simulator rides = change in G-force and potenital wiplash, but this was presented as ride at your own risk, but not a full never.

I have always wanted to sky dive too so i was sad when i was told no.

Hmm... shame.. I was also told caution on rollercoasters (which I plan to ignore/test sometime in the near-ish future) - I am an aerial acrobat so I'm ofen spinning up and down pretty fast which hasn't bothered me so far.
Scuba diving makes sense, the pressure bothers a lot of people and I am more than happy snorkeling (which I was also cautioned about due to the mask pressing on bypasses.. meh).
Bungy jumping is for weirdo's I think, I like my spinal chord intact and inline!
But sky diving I am going to do more research into, I think it's more the fact of going up in the unpressurised aircraft to certain heights than the actual jump/drop.

I forgot to mention that everyone is different. so What restrictions my nurologest put on me maynot be applicable to others. Always check with your MM specialest Nurologest first before preforming any extreem sports.

Emily,
I hope you get to sky dive! I have always wanted to but I think my EMS portion of my surgey maybe what is proventing me. since I am perminitly missing part of my skull. or maybe your more likely to be approved since you are an aerial acrobat. That is so cool!!

Destin has thought about skydiving but we found an alternative.  Not nearly as thrilling as jumping from a plane but fun anyway...we did inside skydiving.  We found a place in Orlando.  I know there are others around the country.
