Cara's 2nd Surgery in Few Hours
Aug 23rd, 2004 at 3:32am

We're in Rochester...going to the Mayo - St. Mary's Hospital at 530am...for operation #2 on the left side.  Hoping it goes better than operation #1 which she suffered a mild stroke losing her right side....but with PT and OT...the past 3 wks shes come back strong...not 100% yet...but her personality returned...re-learning many things.  I hate to have her go through it again...but I was amazed at all the help she got back home to get her to where she is now...nice and strong for the second one in few hours.  Her first surgery on her right side (100% closed) was a tough one...the left side is 30% closed...so they should have more to work with (hopefully).  Thank you all for being there.

Talk to you later,

CarasMOM

CarasMom,

Our experience was that Tara's second surgery was a little bit easier - we at least had a sense of what to expect!

Many prayers for all of you . . . . . I know that God will wrap his arms around you and give you the strength you need.

Big hugs to that little darling of yours - please update us when you can!

Jill

Kathleen's second surgery was less complicated too.Even though going into it she was in really tough shape. She had had severe strokes just days before it(which was just days after her first surgery). Amazingly she had no complications after the second one.Prayers for Cara....

Hi, and many many good thoughts are sent to you from us in Sweden meaning good luck a million times.
As a mother I know what you´re going thru right now and hope you feel that we try to give you strength by our thoughts. I just know Cara will be fine in the end but it´s truly a tough time!

Take care Kiss
