Seizures after left ec/ic (or sta-mca)
Feb 17th, 2011 at 2:10pm

I got diagnosed with moyamoya in May last year (2010)
I got my first surgery on the right side on dec.30 and everything went great. I immediately started to feel good, I had more energy and less migraines.
Well I just got my left side done on feb.9th and this one hasnt went as good. They believe I am having a form of seizures, I get "episodes" of speech disabilities. I start to talkin with a lisp or the word just wont come out. It's not permenant. It lasts anywhere from 5 minutes to a couple hours. It happens up to like 3-4 times a day. I also noticed that even when it's not happening , I have to think longer before I speak. My doctor says he thinks it will go away when my brain readjusts to the blood flow. I am currently taking 1,000 mg of keppra to see if it helps.. I was wondering if anyone experienced anything like this after a surgery and what ended up happening?
