Sister 3 Years Post-Op with drooping lip
May 25th, 2020 at 8:59pm

Hi all, I'm new to the site and looking for a little guidance during this confusing time.

My baby sister (Now 12) had her pial synangiosis just a little over 3 years ago at Boston Children's Hospital (right side). All scans and everything since then have been great. She recovered so quickly and is truly so energetic and full of life.

About an hour or so ago, I noticed that the left side of her mouth was drooping. Other than that, everything is perfectly fine. She is mobile and does not even notice the difference, though our mom and myself can see a difference. We've tried to contact Dr. Smith and anyone familiar with her case, but no luck due to the holiday. We aren't sure if it is a good idea to take her to the ER with the current Covid risk. I'm honestly unsure what to do. It's been so long since we've felt this fear and with the state of the healthcare system, we don't want to put her at extra risk. Does anyone have any ideas of what  we should do in this instance? Thank you so much.
