Started out this morning seeing Christy in the ICU about 9am. She said she made it through the night just fine, waking up every couple of hours. She was awake and alert this morning and was in a very good mood. Her eye had gotten pretty black and was starting to swell up pretty good, but she wasn't in any pain.
Only got to spend a little bit of time with her part of the morning in the ICU, but they finally got her into a "normal" room late this afternoon where we were able to spend several hours with her.
All but one of her IV lines had already been taken out and she was up walking on her own. She was still in a really good mood (cracking some pretty good jokes, actually), and still in no pain. Swelling around her eye had grown some from when we were with her in the morning, and her eye had gotten a little bit blacker, but it looked like it was starting to slow down.
I leave early in the morning, but Diane assures me she'll continue to keep us updated on Christy's progress. Pictures from here on out will have to wait until they get back home and can send them to me via email, but she will keep us informed from the computer here at the hotel and the community computer's at Stanford.
Here are the pictures from today...
